CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. 1st century BC. 1/4 Quinar (Silver, 8 mm, 0.23 g, 3 h), Manching, 'Stachelhaar' Type. Celticized head to left, with stylized hair with pellets on end. Rev. Horse to left, mane built with pellets and a star of five pellets above. Kellner 753. A rare variety with a very disctinct rendering of the hair. Minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.

Privately purchased from Münzzentrum Rheinland in the 1990ies.
